Margarita Garden Design is a garden design practice based in Cheltenham but happy to undertake work throughout the Cotswolds, UK and abroad. Feel free to get in touch and have a chat.
An outdoor space is a continuation of your home and now, more than ever, ecologically important. Time spent in a garden is never really wasted. Biodiversity, aesthetics and you are at the heart of our designs.

Becky Ketley graduated from the Cotswolds Gardening School with a distinction in Professional Garden Design. Brought up in London, Becky has been gardening her whole life. Her earliest memories are of following her grandmother around in a large hat, picking tomatoes and watching earthworms. Sharing time outdoor with family and friends was the most joyful way to spend together.
When Becky isn’t busy designing gardens, she can be found growing cucamelons for gin and tonic in her vegetable garden.
Always with a passion for nurture and growth and coming from a highly creative background, Becky was a teacher for many years to children with special needs. Remembering the feel of her grandmother’s chamomile lawn underfoot, Becky created sensory gardens for them to enjoy and so started her obsession with creating highly individual spaces which serve the needs of others.
Free initial consultation
Understanding your needs and wishes are at the heart of the project. It is a collaborative process where we will think about lifestyle, budget and ideas in order to create a brief and set parameters for the project. We’ll spend time brainstorming, giving ideas and thinking about solutions to any problems. There is no obligation to continue after this point.
Mood boards
Mood boards are a vital visual interpretation of the brief! They also serve as more in depth tool to discuss planting and garden features, ecology and sustainability. We can narrow these down to develop a deeply personal design for your garden.
Initial Design
A scaled and labelled design of the garden will be drawn identifying key features such as planted areas, paths, fencing, features. 3D drawing of key areas will bring the designs to life.
Final Design
Once you are happy with the design, a final technical design is drawn which will specify everything you need should you wish you take the design from here. This includes dimensions, level changes, materials and recommended suppliers.
The Build
We can manage the project should you wish which would include site visits, liaison with contractors, problem solving and hand holding!
Planting Plans
This additional stage can provide detailed plans of placement and quantities of plants within individual borders. Plants can be provided at competitive rates. We also have a network of highly skilled contractors.
